What size should my source image be?

As large as you have. asset4gag treats your file as the master image, not as a 1x asset. For app icons, a square source of at least 1024 × 1024 pixels is recommended.

Why is a size marked as an upscale?

The source image is smaller than that output requires. The file can still be generated, but it may look soft. For the best result, provide a larger source image.

What happens if the export folder already exists?

asset4gag asks before replacing it. If you confirm, the existing folder is moved to the Trash rather than permanently deleted, so you can restore it.

Does asset4gag upload my images?

No. The app does not connect to the internet. All processing, including background removal, happens on your Mac. See the Privacy Policy.

Background removal says no subject was found.

Background removal works best on images with a clear foreground subject. Flat artwork or images without a distinct subject may not be detected.
